Hey folks,
I was born and raised in California and have Kaiser Permanente. However, I moved to Kansas with my Fiancé last year.
I had to go to the ER on two occasions (once in March, once in April of this year).
I confirmed via phone with Kaiser beforehand that I was covered.
I just received a bill amounting to $2,300 stating that Kaiser denied payment because they couldn’t verify that I was the one actually getting treatment.
I plan to give Kaiser a call tomorrow to clear this up. In the meantime, I wanted to ask:
Is this kind of a normal thing to happen? Should I be worried?
Thanks!
