Selecting new insurance plan as part of starting new job, with two surgeries planned for the year ?(EPO vs PPO)

I recently joined a new company and I’m in the process of selecting my health insurance. What makes this unique is that, I currently have a torn ACL and also will need to undergo surgery for a deviated septum at some point this year. I saw our EPO plans have a 0% coinsurance for surgeries, and cheaper rates for physical therapy. I can’t think off the top of my head when and if I’d ever use an out of network provider this year, but if I go with the PPO option, i’ll have to pay 10% coinsurance on these surgeries. I’ve confirmed with the surgeons I’ve had in mind that they are all in network, including their anesthesiologists.

TLDR: Can you please advice situations where it’s not good to go with an EPO if you know you have surgeries planned for the year.
