My wife gave birth about a month ago. Her hospital bills were processed through her insurance through work, and our newborns bills were as well.
We decided to add our baby to my insurance through work shortly afterward (after the newborn claims were processed through my wife’s insurance) as it makes the most sense right now.
My question is, why was our new baby covered automatically by my wife’s insurance, and will they undo what they covered if they now know that the baby is on my insurance? Sorry for this being a complicated question, insurance just boggles my mind.
