(NY) Fidelis, when I’m on Medicaid, is saying they will not cover medically necessary services. Is this accurate?

They are saying that I cannot see a specialist – that is only one left who can treat me without ruining me with risky surgery. They are in network with Fidelis under the Medicaid plan on Fidelis’ website and are in my State.

I found a Fidelis document that states the Essential Plan, substantially similar to Medicaid, does cover treatments proven to be medical necessary. In response to this, Fidelis said the two plans are still different so I won’t get this medical benefit –

and they are indirectly refusing to have me send either my medical history or my PCP’s letter of medical necessity to them. Is Fidelis lying to me?
