Duel coverage question

I have a job with not so great insurance, really high deductible. My partner has excellent insurance through his employer. We’re getting married next month. After the wedding, can he add me to his insurance? Would it be beneficial if he does? Is it even legal? Another concern I have is that I’m employed through a temp agency. There is a chance that I could be hired by the company I’m working at, but there’s also a chance that they could let me go once they no longer need the extra help. The temp agency would probably have something else, but it’s not certain. I’m a type 1 diabetic, so the thought of being without coverage is terrifying. The amount and types of insulin I use retails for close to $1500 a month without insurance. His job is stable and permanent. Any advice is appreciated.

Edited to add that I’m 31, live in Indianapolis, Indiana and make roughly 30k a year.
