I have Ambetter insurance through the ACA and recently upgraded my coverage to include dental and vision. This morning I had an appointment with an optometrist and ended up having to cancel because my id# didn’t show up in the system.
I called Ambetter three times and they confirmed that the number is correct, the payments are up to date, and the doctor is in-network. I asked Ambetter if I could self pay and have it reimbursed and they said no.
I don’t know where to go from here. I’m paying extra for these coverages but it wont’ let me use them.
