Diabetic Rider?

I was curious if anyone could provide me some links/information about diabetic riders. I have Type 1 Diabetes and I started a new insurance plan in May, since then I started looking at my in network providers and they stated that because I have a “Diabetic Rider” getting my medical supplies would be 100% covered.

I tried to look it up and Google says it’s a type of life insurance plan. I called my health insurance and they said it’s through my medical insurance and not my life insurance. I looked at my insurance plan and benefits and there is absolutely nothing about a diabetic rider, in fact it looks like I am only covered for 50% of the cost for most diabetic medical supplies.

So now I am completely lost. It’s not on my insurance plan, my insurance provider refused to explain it and just said that it’s on the plan. Google says the exact opposite of what they say it is. I have no idea what this is and it seems waaaayy to good to be true. My medical supplier was ready to send over $5,000 in medical equipment with supposedly zero cost to me. I haven’t ever had anything like that ever happen in my 24 years of having this disease.
