As the title says:
I live in California and broke a bone last week, went to the ER, and have to do therapy for several months. I am changing insurance on July 1st (open enrollment) and am locked into my selection.
I am currently enrolled with Insurance#1 until June 30, and will start my new plan on July 1st. I need to get treatment for the injury happened while I was under Insurance #1’s coverage, but will happen while enrolled with Insurance #2.
Who is liable for my health protection in this case?
Thanks for the advice!
