I don’t want to bore you with an essay so I will just put my summary.
I am 26 year old male, single, in Oregon.
Due to my illness I am unable to work properly and if I qualify for surgery, the recovery is going to be several months or even longer. My job will not let me take this much time off so I am going to quit my job as soon as I get the surgery.
If I do quit my job I am planning on moving in with my parents but I don’t know what’s gonna happen to my insurance. I believe paying cobra out of pocket is like several hundreds of dollars a month so I am looking at other options but I have no idea where to start.
If I live with my parents and have no job, what options do I have? Would it be different if I lived alone and did not have a job? Can my dad put me under his plan or am I too old to qualify for that too?
Thanks everyone.
