I recently switched employement to a much smaller company. The new health benefits offered this bcbs aco trio hmo, it was the only plan that wasn’t 4 times what I was previously paying.
The search criteria in the instructions required me to elect plans from 2020, and a plan that didn’t exactly read the same to see if my doctors were in network. I did and we were all good.
Fast forward 30 days I find out my children’s pediatrician is actually not in network and I’m stuck with this insurance. I filled an appeal to change elections.
My 1 year old has a pretty serious rash, and I have contacted the local pediatricians that are in network with my group Id. No one is excepting new patients. I’m at the point where I may just buy an additional private plan to take her to her previous pediatrician.
Has anyone had luck with appeals to adjust, or any advice on how to make this plan work?
Starting to seriously accept this countries health care system is in shambles, in CA btw.
