On a Medicaid Managed Care plan. I will probably require continued PT for several months, something my PCP has agreed on, and am wondering if Medicaid plans approve extra units in the same year, such that I can have another consult with another PT until I find the best one for my specific issues.
BCBS and UHcG have not been picking up or are transferring me to the wrong place, so I can’t ask them yet, but as I understand, all Medicaid plans have similar coverages, but the doctors in-network will vary. Has anyone gotten extra PT or even chiropractic care approved in NY? My current company is refusing to cover anything.
The state is telling me to switch to another company’s Medicaid Managed Care, but if they’re all the same, I’ll have to argue to get these benefits covered.
