Is it ok to have Medicaid and insurance through my employer?

On July 1st my lung collapsed and I was in the hospital until 6/9. I had to get a surgery so im expecting medical bills to be around 30k. I just started a new job at the end of May and the hospital has my employers insurance and Medicaid on file. They are billing my employers insurance first which leaves me with out of pocket expenses at about 4k.

The Medicaid I have is called NJ Family Care. I haven’t told them about my new job yet and im wondering if they will cover any of my out of pocket expenses. I dont want to do anything illegal or something that will bite me down the road. With my new job I believe I may no longer be eligible for Medicaid but I only started about a month and a half ago and these out of pocket expenses will be a struggle to pay currently. Thanks for any suggestions.

Edit: I am 30 and my income is about 42,000/year with my new job
