Marketplace is quoting me for $500 insurance!?!??

So, I have had the same BCBS Ins for over 12 years. The other day, I tried to pay my premium and was told that it “went out” and I had to apply on healthcare.org for a new one. Long story short, my BCBS was not out and BCBS practically lied to me. I paid my premium and canceled my marketplace application.

Now I’m terrified because I don’t know if my BCBS is going to be affected by me creating an application. Healthcare.gov was quoting me for $400-500 a month for mediocre insurance. $340 for catastrophic. I only make $27,000 a year. I cannot afford that. At all. I also have medication bills, blood draws, and dr visits every two to three months that cost hundreds on top of my current insurance bill.

Will my cancelled application interfere with my current insurance? There is absolutely no way I can afford the $500 quote for the insurance that I NEED. My healthcare is currently $10,000 a year WITH insurance. Without is $22,000-30,000.

I’m praying that everything will be okay.
