Should I stick with insurance through my employer?

Hey! I thought I’d come here to try and ask, as trying to find out online just results in a bunch of agents calling me at once. I pay $75 a paycheck right now for my health insurance- this covers basic vision, a small life insurance policy, and basic medical and accident coverage. It’s supplemental and I’d really like to get dental, but that will bring it up to $90 a paycheck. Is there any point to looking for a plan outside of work that will cost less than $180/month? Do they exist?

I’m also looking because I’m engaged, and once we’re married and my partner goes on my plan, it will cost us $198/paycheck or $228 if we get dental.

I’m willing to ditch the life insurance and pay vision out of pocket. I’m genuinely just trying to figure out what my options are, as most of what I’m finding is pretty biased and obvious marketing from agents.

Edit: I’m 28 and my partner is 29, zip is 31548, and our household income is a little over 30k.
