Hi! I just got a full time position and since I am only 22 and my husband is 25 I am not planning on enrolling until open enrollment which means coverage would start April 2022. The issue is my husband turns 26 on February 20, so there is a month and 8 days where he will not be covered by his parents or my insurance.
I am new to adulting (sorry for the use of that word) and have no idea where to start. He would only need emergency coverage since he can schedule appointments for before then, if that is possible. Anyone know of a good resource where I can figure out what plan would be best, if it is possible to only have a plan for 2 months?
Also – just to make sure – even if we file taxes seperatley, my spouse can be on my insurance, correct?
Thank you so much!
