Currently, we have a classic indemnity or PPOh option. My employer is proposing we move to a High deductible ($3500 single, and $7,000 family) paired with a health savings account. The employer will fund the health saving account (Or HRA if you have children over 18 still on your insurance) at the full cost of the deductible. After the deductible is met, we are covered 100% of out of pocket expenses as long as we are in network (BCBS).
My team has been working to poke any holes in this proposal. It seems like a win win for the employer and the members.
Does anyone have any experience or input with a situation like this? Thanks.
