Just could use some help/clarification that were are doing this all correct.
Wife and I both had our own individual plans through the marketplace before getting married. After getting married we both went through our individual applications and updated them to being married, however after doing that we no long got the tax credit.
So the question is when going through the application there is the option to apply for myself and my wife on a single application. If I select us both and continue through the application we do qualify for the tax credit to a similar amount to when we’re each had our own, which is what I believe we should be doing.
If that is the case and let’s say we use my account to apply for myself and my wife, what do we do with her old application and plan. Do we cancel those or does the marketplace just take care of all that stuff.
Thanks for any help, just trying to make sure we do this all correctly from the get go.
