I literally put in my notice at my current job on Friday (leaving the end of September) after accepting a position elsewhere, and literally got a thyroid cancer diagnosis today (fortunately should be easily treatable).
The job I am switching to, I would be a contractor and thus need to get my own insurance. I could also marry my Fiancé early and get on his.
Would another health insurance even accept me with a pre-existing condition?
I’m thinking I should talk to my current job this week and tell them circumstances have changed and I would like to stay on as an employee….
