(Northern CA) Will I get a better deal from CoveredCA or going to a CoveredCA Insurance Agent?

I moved out of my old zip code and my income increased. I don’t think I am eligible for my Medi-Cal plan anymore. They have not told me anything yet, but I know the plan I was on probably won’t work in my new area.

I also found out my employer insurance is “supplemental” meaning it doesn’t count as coverage with the ACA, and is pretty much worthless if I had to go to an ER.

So because my Medi-Cal could be gone at any moment, I am shopping for health insurance. The cheapest I can find are $250 a month, and are HMO or EPO or minimum coverage HMO or EPOs. Kaiser, Anthem Blue Cross, and Valley Health Plan.

I guess I am a little frustrated. Health insurance seems to have gone up since I was last on non-Medi-Cal insurance. And I make just enough to not qualify anymore for Medi-Cal.

Can I get a better deal thru a CoveredCA agent and save some money or will they show me the same options as the CoveredCa website? I just need insurance. I’m afraid that it’ll be like last time 5 years ago when I went to get CoveredCA and there were so many rules that I had to wait a year before getting health insurance.
