Hello, I’m here for some advice.
I’m wondering how those in the US have handled getting insurance during the transition between school and post-(grad) school employment. I would have about a 3 week gap without insurance and I don’t love that risk since I just watched someone in a similar transition period get in a serious life-altering accident with a TBI that probably financially destroyed their life. Not getting an insurance is thus not an option.
I looked into COBRA and healthcare.gov options but it’s a bit confusing. I am currently located in one state but will be moving to another state to permanently reside there for the position as of a few days into September, so I’m unsure what state insurance I should be using..has anyone been in a similar position and what did you do? Thank you in advance!
