I called my health insurance (Highmark BCBS) to ask them if non-invasive prenatal testing would be covered even if I was under 35, and they said yes after I shared a CPT. However, on the sheet I was looking at, they had different ICD-10 codes (not sure if it’s out date, since it was a quick Google search), and I didn’t see an option for those with no known risk factors or advanced maternal age. However, ACOG now recommends NIPT be available to everyone, regardless of age. Is there anything more specific I should be asking to verify? Should I see if I can email customer service to get something in writing in case they try to deny me based on age? Thanks in advance.
