NJ. We had a scheduled c-section at an in-network hospital, got a surprise bill for $5k out-of-network surgical assistant. Appealed on the grounds that we had no control over this, should not have to pay it, etc. Aetna denied the appeal. What now? They say we can appeal the appeal. What does this mean? Do I have a chance? This seems ABSURD.
