I am trying to help relative to buy medical insurance for trip to USA. It looks like https://www.insubuy.com/ offers plenty of options, but searching any individual insurance companies returns horrible reviews. Basically visitor’s insurance is not regulated to the same extent as local one and they deny everything even with preexisting condition coverage. Buying insurance from country of origin is also a headache, since they have millions provisions and would not cover anything until prior approval, which may take forever.
Has anybody have any success buying visitor insurance and reimbursing anything?
