I am rejoining anthem after being with kaiser. I’m also looking to go to a specialist for some treatments. The last time I got a consultation approved for this type of specialist I had to go through an appeals process.
Will going through a self pay consultation help me get this specialist approved? At least I’ll have their notes in my record if I have to appeal. Kaiser also did a bunch of tests and I had to send them all to the specialist before they’d make the appointment. I’m trying to ultimately get approved for surgery.
