Is my insurance company required to help find someone who will take my insurance?

Is my insurance company required to help find someone who will take my insurance? I have Kiaser and I’m in California, so my insurance provider is the same as my healthcare provider. My insurance covers therapy and while I was initially seeing someone with an outside referral for depression and anxiety, we found that I need to find someone that specializes in Narcissistic Abuse and CPTSD; she recommended I find someone new that has experience with these things. As far as I know the therapist I was seeing did not tell Kaiser that she thought I had CPTSD and if she did they did not put it on my medical record as a pre-existing condition under PTSD (CPTSD is not yet in the diagnostic manual as a condition).

So I took my still active referral and called EVERY therapist available on the referral company’s website that was listed as being experienced with PTSD. NONE of them were currently accepting patients with my referral. So Kaiser gave me another referral for a service called Ginger.io. It’s been two weeks since I got my referral and the 10 day window in which they are supposed to reach out passed last week. So I called, and called, and called, and couldn’t get an answer about how I register for the service or use it. I emailed them this morning and left a voice mail with Kaiser as to what my next steps are.

I’m getting really frustrated. I’ve been looking for a therapist now for over two months, those that are accepting patients outright say they will take me if I pay cash but don’t want to deal with my insurance. Can I get to the point where Kaiser outright has to pay a portion of my bill if I go out of network and they are unable to provide care in a reasonable time?
