My wife (28f, Non-US Citizen) recently lost her job and needs health insurance for 2-3 weeks. We live in WA state. We would like something that starts ASAP.
I tried looking on the WA health plan finder website. We found a Catastrophic coverage plan with Kaizer, but it starts on Oct 1st (I am guessing most plans will start on the 1st of the next month).
Fortunately, I will be starting a new job on October 4th and should be able to add my wife to our plan then. (So it seems like a waste to get a plan that starts on Oct 4th).
Really just looking for catastrophic insurance for an emergency visit, very high deductibles are fine as well. We have no plans to see doctors or get prescriptions or anything like that.
Any ideas if anything exists that we could use?
