First time posting here and I could use some help! I work at a large public university and have pretty solid insurance through Cigna. I’ve been loosing quite a bit of weight and suspect I’ll have quite a bit of excess skin that I may want removed within the next 2 years. My policy states that “regardless of clinical indications, abdominoplasty, panniculectomy, and redundant skin surgery are excluded from coverage…” I haven’t had – nor do I plan – to have any form of weight loss surgery. If I lose the weight and develop skin infections or other conditions due to the excess skin, would Cigna basically give me the middle finger and tell me to crowdsource the money to afford surgery?….
TIA!
