I’m strongly considering having my mother leave her job at a public school (because of the long commute). She agrees and has no plans to continue to work in the future. My question is how do I get her health insurance through the marketplace. She is about 55 years old and has no preexisting conditions outside of OA (don’t know if that qualifies according to there guidelines). My parents file taxes jointly and there income (without my mom’s) will still be over 65k. My father’s employer does not offer health insurance and he is over 65. How do I go about setting her up? Anyone have a link they can recommend? What are the costs that I should expect for her?
