Tl;dr: I’m unsure if I should take the risk of just settling for a 3 month job for the experience due to my health and uncertainty that they will keep me. should I voice my concerns during the interview.
I have my A+ N+ and Sec+ but it’s hard finding a full time position with benefits at entry level in California. I have about a year experience as a field tech and helpdesk. My huge concern is that I have a pre-existing condition that I must see a specialist and have tests about twice a month. I’m very thankful that I’m on Medi-Cal right now as I know that these bills would rack up in the thousands on regular Cal state insurance.
A lot of these jobs are contract based with most being 3-6 months and I really don’t want to be hit with a bill if an employer decides to give the boot. And any full time position is so competitive that I usually just get denied before an interview.
