I got a new job in California and have worked for 1 month so far. And I just realized I missed the open enrollment for health insurance on ADP. I read that I can’t enroll for health insurance if I miss it, and neither do I have any reason to be eligible for the special enrollment period. What do I do now?
I also read that there is a state open enrollment period, which for California 2022 is Nov 1, 2021 to Jan 31, 2022. My question is if I missed my company open enrollment, is this only for the rest of 2021, and I would have the chance to enroll in 2022 ? Or my next chance is when I have a special enrollment period, and I won’t be able to enroll until then?
Please send help, this is deeply concerning even though I made the mistake of forgetting to enroll. Thanks guys.
