Out of Network help?

I’m in North Carolina and I have Bright Health insurance through the marketplace. It’s wonderful except the provider network is tiny, I can only see providers in the Novant system.

I’m wondering if I can get out of network coverage for a service that is not provided by anyone in my network, but my plan says it pays for?

Example: There is only one psychiatric ER in my area, but it’s outside my network. There are none in my network. Is it possible I can get my insurance to pay for it especially since it’s an emergency visit?

Another thing is behavioral health inpatient. My insurance covers it, but the psych ER only outsources patients to facilities in their system which are outside my network. Am I screwed or is there a way to get them to pay since it’s an emergency?

Thanks in advance

Oh sorry also: I’m 23, currently unemployed and in college, zip code is 28269
