I have been getting prescription medicine for a 5 months from a particular pharmacy. They’ve charged me $5 every time. I just logged into my health insurance account and saw that my deductible was met, which had me confused. Looking at my claims, my billed amount is crazy high for this medication from this pharmacy. It says the amount I owed each time I picked up this medication ranged from $200-$400 (different than the billed amount before the coinsurance was paid by my plan), which was from $400-$2000!), with the status as “PAID.”
I don’t know if I’m at any legal fault or how to proceed. It seems like my health insurance thinks I’ve been charged and paying $200-$400 each time, but I’ve only been charged by the pharmacy $5 each time.
