Getting married at 25 and 26, is it worth an e elopement?

My fiance and I are planning a 2023 wedding, when I’ll be 25 and he’ll be 26. I have really great health insurance through my job, and his job has no health insurance at all (although he may change jobs before then, he is actively looking).

For now he is on his parents’ health insurance (I’m on my own because it’s a very good plan). From my understanding, when he turns 26, he’ll have to get his own plan, and since his work doesn’t offer one, he’ll have to research and pay out of pocket for one, only to be married to me and added to my health insurance like 4 months later.

Would it make sense to elope before his birthday so that he can just be added straight to my health insurance?

Edit info: we live in MA. My work’s healthcare is free and pays an annual fund into my HSA per dependant.
