We bought a pretty standard policy of IHC, Independence American Insurance Group. Administered by “The Loomis Company”
It’s a short term policy, in GA, that allows customers to use any doctor they want. It says they allow 3 primary care visits a year for only a 50 dollar copay.
I’ve called 4 doctors so far and checked the hospitals around us. Nobody accepts it or has even heard of it.
I called the insurance company itself, the number of the ID card, and they said they will work with any doctor but that doesn’t mean the doctor will work with them.
I feel like we just got totally scammed. Am I right to switch to a BCBS Anthem Enhanced Access short term insurance next month? It at least has a network of providers willing to work with them
