Unemployed / need help figuring out health insurance in California

I live in California, recently lost my job, and am still waiting on unemployment. I have a small business but my income is very small at the moment. I only need health insurance right now for one thing – to get one prescription each month that is really expensive out of pocket, but cheap with health insurance. Also in order to get the prescription, I need to see a primary care provider each month.

I looked through Covered California and with the Bronze plan via Kaiser, it’s $268/month and like $60 per primary care visit. Prescriptions are cheap but the deductible is like way more than I would pay in a year out of pocket. Trying to figure this out, but it seems like an insane amount of money a month just for these prescriptions even with health insurance. I know HI in America is a total joke and I’ve been fortunate to have an employer all of my adult life, but wondering if I’m missing something here? Any advice on a good route for me given my situation would be much appreciated.

Thank you!!
