I am trying to get a breast reduction covered by insurance. I’m on my parent’s insurance and will be until I’m 26.
I have to go through 6 months of consecutive conservative treatment for the pain associated with macromastia before my doctor can submit a request for the surgery, otherwise it’s likely to get denied. The 6 months of conservative treatment will be done by May 2022.
I turn 26 in October 2022.
What are the odds that insurance will simply deny the surgery because I’m almost 26?
