First time with options in 10 years… and I’m lost

Hi!

Starting a new job and actually have options: HMO, PPO, HDHP, and a CDHP (oh my!)

For the past decade I’ve only had HDHPs with 2 different jobs. I have long-term medical issues, so I usually met the deductible without trying and have accepted medical as a chunk of money I must spend.

My latest HDHP declined 1 procedure and 1 prescription that were both covered on my previous HDHP. I didn’t realize that could happen on this type of plan. (My HDHP under my old employer was expensive in terms of the deductible, but I got the care that my docs said I needed covered 100% of the time).

My question is about these broad types of coverage: is there a type of plan that is most likely to cover everything?

Thanks!
