Am I being Billed Correctly

I went in for an office visit which are covered with by a copay with my insurance plan. During the visit they did an EKG, drug test and I spoke with the doctor. My insurance processed the claim for the visit and it shows my responsibility being my regular copay. Then received a bill from the doctor’s office that shows I still have a balance for my visit. So I go to check my EOB and it only shows the EKG and the consult with the doctor but no drug test. When I called the doctor’s office to see why that was they informed me they didn’t submit a claim for the drug test. Since they don’t get a high enough reimbursement its a self pay procedure. No one told me when I scheduled or during the visit that they would not be using my insurance for the drug test.

Can they do that?
