Can’t afford my employer family plans. Open enrollment approaching. I could use some advice.

Open enrollment is approaching at my company. I’m looking at around $710 per month for low deductible PPO and around $550 per month for HDHP, these are family plans. It’s the same as 2021 but honestly it’s been a big burden on us financially this year. I was thinking about getting the HDHP next year but it seems like a bad deal, $5000 deductible so if any of us go to the hospital we’re screwed with a massive bill, it’s happened to us before ($7000 ER bill). We don’t qualify for medicaid or famis (over income). My daughter has medicaid so I know of a Virginia premium assistance program but she has to be on my employer plan first, and I’m not sure if it’s going to help much, I need to look into it further, and I know she won’t have medicaid forever because of my income. As far as the marketplace, the plans suck or are even more expensive and that’s for all of us or just my spouse alone. How can I not go broke from healthcare while keeping me and my family covered at the same time? Thanks.
