Hello, I hope it’s ok to ask these question here and I appreciate an and all help.
I live in Alabama. I live with my unemployed mother. I am employed and I already get insurance through my employer. I’ve been told I can’t file her an a dependent, so I want to just pay for her insurance out of pocket. Are there any complications with this matter?
I want to get her on Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, same one I’m on, and they have a “calculator” type thing that takes my “annual household income” to calculate your tax credit. I put in my salary and according to them this can bring 2 of their plans down to 0 monthly cost? That cant actually be possible can it? Especially since I’m not the one getting insurance and I already have it?
