So I just turned 26 and will be off of my parents insurance at the end of this year. I live in New Jersey (from Florida originally) and I am a PA student. I applied for insurance and I just got the health benefits identification card. What does this mean? From what I can tell it shows that I was approved for Medicaid in the state of New Jersey because I don’t have an income as a student. But then it says that I need two cards if I go to a doctors appointment, one would be this health benefits identification card and the other one would be specific to an insurance plans.
How do I get the specific insurance card related to a plan?
My parents are not from the US and it’s not easy for them to help me with things like this so I appreciate any help you guys can offer me.
