TDLR: Does the amount payed go toward your deductible for the time (year specifically) of service, when the claim was submitted to the insurance company, when we’re billed, or when we issue payment?
Full story: I’m on South Carolina. My fiancé went to the emergency room early November and got the $2,000 semi-itemized bill today. There’s a few charges we have grounds push back on. My curiosity: if we push back, they revise the bill, and we receive if after Jan. 1st 2022, will the new payment amount count toward her 2022 deductible?
Any and all advise welcome. Thank you.
