I’m currently looking into ACA marketplace insurance plans. I’m eyeballing a few silver plans. I’m likely going to need to see a dermatologist 2-3 times a year, and there’s also a chance i’d also need to see them for outpatient minor surgery (cyst removal) during these trips.
What are some bits of information in the information about insurance plans that i should be paying extra close attention to?
I saw a few plans that mentioned a 50$ specialist co-pay versus a few plans with something like a 20% specialist co-insurance. Can i safely assume that the $50 copay specialist option is going to be kinder on my wallet for my uses? The plan with the 50$ copay option has a more expensive premium, but it’s affordable assuming the subsidies kick in for us like they say they will.
Any advice or tips are deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance!
