Changing jobs and aging out of parents insurance plan

I just turned 26 and am being removed from my parents insurance plan 12/31. I am starting a new job 1/3, but I am not able to get on my new employer’s insurance plan until after the 30-day wait period, which will be in February.

I was told by my current insurance provider that I missed the enrollment period for cobra, and even if I was able to enroll, it would cost me $637, which is more than I am currently able to afford.

Are there any providers that would give me affordable coverage for the month of January so I don’t have to be uninsured for the month? What would be my best option? I am traveling a bit in January and scared of being uninsured.
