Obamacare for those under 100% poverty level!

Technically only people with incomes between 100-400% of the poverty level are eligible for Obamacare subsidies BUT In March 2021 the law changed for the better (yay!) If you apply with an income above the poverty level (this year it’s $12880 for individuals) but your actual income on your tax return turns out to be lower than the poverty level, then the government will let you keep the subsidy. They CANNOT require you to give proof that you believed your income would be above poverty level (An eligible example would be you had a job that paid $13000 but then you lost your job so your income on your tax return is lower than what you thought.)

This closes coverage gaps in many states between Medicaid and Obamacare eligibility. You can read about it on page 24216 below!
