Ive been unemployed off and on this year. Ive been on husky d (CT) since June when I lost my job. I worked a little in July, was in hosp for august due to car accident, and worked Sept and Oct. My total annual income has reached the annual limit. So two questions:
1.) If I get a job that pays less than the monthly limit, can I continue to have Medicaid despite going over the annual limit? The customer service rep said yes but I question that.
2.) I was ignorant to the process, and didn’t realize I was going over the monthly limit in July, Sept, and Oct. Will i face punishment for this? I thought I had coverage until I needed to reapply, didn’t realize I needed to report income changes (dumb, I know). I’ve heard they look at six month brackets of income, but I just don’t know. Thanks!
