I called my insurance provider (Cigna) ahead of time to ensure they would cover a COVID antigen test, and they said all COVID tests are covered.
So I went to a drive-thru COVID testing place, and paid $129 out of pocket fully expecting to be reimbursed.
However, I submitted the claim and got denied due to not having a diagnosis code from the facility. Apparently they don’t provide one to people, and said to kindly explain that to my insurance. (Of course that won’t work).
I’m I out of luck if the facility won’t provide a diagnosis code?
