Just lost job, may get a job in a few months, should I wait potentially 2 months for state medicaid, or state marketplace for insurance?

Hey all,

I got laid off from my job end of last month, unfortunately something happened just right in the beginning of this month, so I have to use COBRA coverage unfortunately, which did cost me a bit.

I have been looking for a job for the past while now, I am not too certain how long it will take me, but applying for Medical (state medicaid program) will probably take 2 months to process, and it may take me maybe at most a bit longer to find an another job, so I am wondering if I should just go to the marketplace (CoverCA for us) for these next few months, or continue COBRA and wait for Medical? What do you guys think?

I live in California if that helps, also applied for EDD.
