Covered California employer health insurance question

My employer sent me an email for health insurance for 48.47 dollars a week. Single, no dependents, 27 year old in the Los Angeles area. I make about 18,000 a year. I wasn’t able to enroll because they only gave me 14 days to enroll. I got a covered California insurance agent to sign me up for a plan. I explained the situation to him but I believe the agent did not put that my employer offered me health insurance in order to get me the subsidies.

Could I get in trouble for this? Will it come back to bite me in the butt later on? Should I cancel the insurance before I am officially enrolled?

Also my employer hours are inconsistent. Sometimes I get a lot of money one month while no hours the next month. Could I just wait until my income is low enough one month and apply for medical?
