Long story short, I’m in need of an MRI. I am currently using my parent’s insurance. I got a job that gives me my own health insurance. My parents have a high deductible plan and we don’t have the money to just pay for an MRI. They hit their deductible for 2021. The MRI wouldn’t cost anything before the end of the year. I’m not sure if there would be any benefit to switching insurance before getting the MRI or any way to get it without having to hold off until I can afford to put down a large chunk of money out of pocket. What are your thoughts?
In the meantime, I’m going to try and get the MRI rescheduled for sometime before next year.
